Job Description:

We are looking to recruit a sessional Tutor(s) to deliver non-accredited British Sign Language workshops and courses at our Amersham and Buckingham Centres and at our Quarrendon Adult Learning Centre in Aylesbury.

Job Responsibility:

  • Plan and deliver weekly classes of 5 - 11-week courses, which stretch and challenge learners' knowledge and skills
  • Support adult learners to develop their knowledge and skills and contribute to the development of a learner centre provision

Requirements:

  • Applicants should hold an introductory teaching/training award such as City & Guilds PTLLS/Award in Education and Training (or willing to obtain one within 6 months of appointment)
  • A subject specific qualification, for British Sign Language ideally a Level 6, however a Level 3 or 4 will be considered for introductory courses
  • It is essential that all our tutors can plan and deliver high quality sessions while maintaining good records of student progress
