Job Description:

This is an exciting opportunity for a recently qualified Bridge Engineer (at Chartered level) or experience (Incorporated) Engineer to manage the maintenance and renewal of the County's bridge stock, numbering over 1,000 structures, which support over 3,000 miles of highway network. The manager will be an integral part of the Highways management team responsible for developing and overseeing asset management strategies and delivering all works necessary to upkeep and develop the network in response to the development needs of the Council.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage the maintenance and renewal of the County's bridge stock, numbering over 1,000 structures, which support over 3,000 miles of highway network
