Job Description:

Are you an experienced civil construction individual with the skills to take on a Second-in-Charge (2IC) role? We are seeking someone experienced with timber and concrete structures for ongoing work across a range of bridge maintenance and construction projects for Brisbane City Council.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assist with the maintenance and building of concrete and timber bridges around Brisbane
  • Adhere to WHS practices
  • Erect structural components: girders, headstocks, columns, deckings, and handrails
  • Construct and erect formwork/shutters for pile cappings, abutments, columns, and slabs
  • Execute steel fixing, rigging, and dogman duties
  • Interpret and work from site specification plans and drawings
  • Perform civil construction and new bridge builds
  • Operate Elevated Work Platform (EWP)
  • Lead small teams when required

Requirements:

  • Carpentry experience (highly advantageous)
  • MR/HR Licenses (highly advantageous)
  • Working at heights ticket
