Requirements

B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering, or related field
PE License in MA required
10+ years of experience relating to structural engineering
Excellent communication, strong written, oral, and client relation skills, experience interacting with clients, agencies, and other project stakeholders
Strong organization and leadership skills
Ability to work independently and develop task deliverables in a complete and reviewable manner

Job Responsibility

Assist in the preparation of SOQs, proposals, and contracts
Research local/state regulations as they pertain to projects
Making presentations before elected officials and advisory boards, attending conferences, and participating in interviews
Prepare technical analysis within a variety of specialist areas such as load ratings, bridge design, and finite element analysis
Responsible for project management, including cost control, project budget control, and quality assurance/quality control
Direct and manage the budgeting and execution of projects including the supervision of assigned staff and subcontractors

Requirements

BS in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis or related discipline
MS in Civil Engineering preferred
PE License or ability to obtain through reciprocity
Minimum of 4 years of structural design experience
Excellent communication and client relation skills
Detail-oriented and experienced with developing plans and specifications
Strong organization and leadership skills with a track record for adhering to design budgets and schedules
Ability to perform complex analysis and design using a variety of structural engineering software

Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, concentration in Structural Engineering
10 or more years of experience in all aspects of structural/bridge design
Licensed PE in Canada (Authorization in Quebec preferred)
Fluent in French and English (spoken and written)
Experience in project management and Ministry of Transportation of Québec (MTQ), Ontario (MTO), or Montreal (MTM) projects
Proficient in: LEAP Bridge and Merlin-DASH/MDX (or software equivalent), Mathcad, structural analysis software, and either AutoCAD, or MicroStation

Job Responsibility

Coordinate and manage bridge team, design projects, and the conduct and growth of connected disciplines
Review and approve bridge team’s calculations
Verify and approve project documents, design submittals, and analysis reports
Resolve design inconsistencies and conflicts for the design
Lead project pursuits by determining budget estimates and staffing requirements
Send Tech Proposal Writer details for Requests of Qualifications (RFQ), Statement of Qualification (SOQ) and Proposal preparation
Ensure designs meet ACI, AISC, CSA S6, MTQ, MTO, and MTM codes, standards, and manual requirements are upheld
Travel to support clients and project teams within Canada and US (as required)
