As a Lecturer of Bricklaying for EKC Training, you’ll inspire the next generation of skilled tradespeople. You’ll teach, train and assess students across a variety of learning environments, ensuring every learner has the opportunity to succeed and reach their full potential. This role is based at Eastchurch, Sheppey, where we deliver courses to Cat D prisoners as well as to community learners.
Job Responsibility:
Teaching and assessing Level 2 Bricklaying (practical and theory)
Supporting learners to achieve their qualifications and career goals
Designing, delivering and evaluating engaging programmes of study
Encouraging and motivating students to develop confidence and employability skills
Leading and contributing to designated study programmes and/or courses
Requirements:
Strong knowledge and experience in Bricklaying
Confident in delivering theory as well as practical sessions
Organised, supportive and passionate about helping learners succeed
Ability to design and deliver innovative lessons that capture learners’ interest
Strong skills in assessing, tracking and planning interventions to support progress
A positive outlook and empathetic approach towards learners
Confident classroom management skills to maintain a supportive learning environment
Flexibility to teach a range of study programmes from Level 1 to Level 3
Ability to motivate and inspire learners to achieve their goals
Nice to have:
Teaching experience or experience delivering workplace training
Delivering other multi-trade skills
