  • Participate in Breast multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings, including diagnostic and metastatic MDTs
  • Contribute to breast oncology imaging and surgical planning
  • Perform and supervise breast interventional radiology procedures
  • Participate in general radiology reporting as part of departmental requirements
  • Participate in the Radiology consultant on-call rota
  • Provide clinical supervision and teaching to junior doctors and radiology trainees

  • Interpret mammography, ultrasound, breast MRI and staging CT
  • Perform breast interventional procedures including ultrasound-guided biopsies, stereotactic core biopsies, vacuum-assisted biopsies, fine needle aspiration and wire localisation
  • Potential involvement in MRI-guided biopsies, CT angiography pre-reconstruction reporting and ultrasound-guided VAEs, depending on experience
  • Participate actively in Breast MDT meetings and MDT preparation
  • Maintain continuing responsibility for the clinical management and continuity of care of patients under your supervision
  • Contribute to general radiology reporting, as included in the agreed job plan
  • Participate in the Radiology Consultant on-call rota as required
  • Provide professional supervision and educational support to Speciality Registrars in Radiology
  • Support training and mentoring of Advanced Practitioners and Consultant Radiographers
