Job Responsibility

Independently manage Breast Unit (BU) clinics, including diagnostic and symptomatic cases
Participate in Breast multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings, including diagnostic and metastatic MDTs
Contribute to breast oncology imaging and surgical planning
Perform and supervise breast interventional radiology procedures
Participate in general radiology reporting as part of departmental requirements
Participate in the Radiology consultant on-call rota
Provide clinical supervision and teaching to junior doctors and radiology trainees

Contact patients to schedule additional views, technical repeats and imaging guided biopsies recommended by radiologists
Place call comments in Track Rec portion of EPIC and contact provider for additional orders as needed
Responsible for generating daily and weekly reports for review and follow-up in accordance with regulatory agencies
Performs continuous monitoring of outstanding patients to schedule 6-month follow up, Bi-Rad 0 additional imaging, MRI and biopsy recommendations
Answers and screens telephone calls from patients and insurance companies pertaining to coverage of breast imaging studies
