Job Description:

Reporting to the Administrative Director and Physician and supervised by the Practice Manager. The Breast Health Patient Navigator-Surgical Scheduler is responsible for coordinating all aspects of breast health patient care. Assists the physicians and Mid-Level providers as needed. Assures Patient Experience protocols are followed.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 3-5 years’ experience working as a navigator or surgical scheduler in a clinical setting
  • Graduate of a Medical Assistant/Secretary program preferred
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and moderate keyboarding is required
  • Knowledge of EPIC and Meditech electronic medical records preferred
  • Excellent organizational skills, detail oriented with strong ability to multi-task required
  • Familiarity with medical terminology preferred
  • Knowledge of patient billing, prior authorizations, account processes, third party billing and revenue cycle preferred
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to maintain confidential information required

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of EPIC and Meditech electronic medical records
  • Familiarity with medical terminology
  • Knowledge of patient billing, prior authorizations, account processes, third party billing and revenue cycle
