Job Responsibility:
Serve as a key member of the culinary team, executing dishes with precision, consistency, and efficiency under the direction of the Chefs
Master all kitchen stations as assigned, including proper station setup, organization, and breakdown while ensuring seamless transition between shifts
Maintain a high standard of quality in a fast-paced kitchen, handling the demands of service without compromising consistency or execution
Support all areas of the kitchen as needed, including prep work, dishwashing, garde manger, pastry, pasta, and other stations, ensuring a collaborative and efficient BOH operation
Proactively anticipate and respond to kitchen needs, ensuring all mise en place is properly stocked, prepped, and ready for service
Uphold strict sanitation and food safety protocols, keeping workstations clean and organized while following DOH guidelines at all times
Follow AMG COVID-19 health safety protocols, including frequent sanitization of work areas, proper use of PPE, and compliance with all updated hygiene standards
Arrive punctually and in full uniform, including black non-slip shoes, while maintaining professional hygiene and presentation in alignment with kitchen standards
Requirements:
At least 1-2 year(s) of relevant breakfast restaurant experience required
Culinary (baking and pastry for Pastry Cooks) and/or college degree recommended with considerable working knowledge of relevant food preparation
Genuine passion for cooking and restaurant hospitality
Highly organized, productive, and able to work meticulously in a high-intensity kitchen / work environment
Willingness to take direction from Chefs, embrace change and innovation, and to learn and adapt to new systems, service steps and health and cleaning procedures
Broad and flexible availability to work – AM/PM service and/or prep/production
Physical requirements include: ability to handle and carry trays, smallware, equipment, or other items up to 35lbs, and to stand, walk up and down stairs, and exert well-paced mobility for extended period of time
