Job Description:

Join a family-oriented potato processor as our technical lead during the night shift. You will be the key to keeping our fully automated machine park running smoothly by resolving faults and minimizing downtime while production is at full speed.

Job Responsibility:

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and eco-friendly workspace
  • Resolve mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults
  • Repair and replace parts to keep machines in peak condition
  • Partner with production to maximize nightly output
  • Log interventions to help improve machine performance
  • Propose technical upgrades to prevent recurring issues
  • Mentor new team members and share your expertise

Requirements:

  • Technical degree or solid industrial experience
  • Several years of experience in industrial maintenance
  • Skills in electricity, mechanics, and fluid power
  • Sharp problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  • You speak French or English. You must be willing to learn the basics of Dutch or French (if you are an English speaker) or English or Dutch (if you are a French speaker)
  • Ready to work in a fixed night shift

  • Record in Proteus or another downtime tracking system any issues, breakdowns, or alarms concerning all equipment. Start a work order and provide any extra documentation needed to address the problem. Examine equipment patterns related to these issues and assist in efforts to prevent repeated occurrences.
  • The Maintenance Technician will share knowledge and train less experienced technicians in all related equipment including safety, 6S, PM’s.
  • Learn to handle robots in all normal production modes, troubleshoot and identify problems related to robots, machine output and quality defects as they occur.
