Job Responsibility:
Operate a hydraulic or electric brake press to fold, bend, and form metal sheets according to blueprints
Set up tooling and die changes based on material thickness and required bend angles
Perform routine quality inspections using calipers, protractors, and measuring tapes to ensure accuracy
Interpret technical drawings and CAD layouts to determine the sequence of operations
Adjust machine settings and program parameters to maintain high-quality metal fabrication standards
Maintain a clean and organized workspace within the manufacturing & logistics department
Collaborate with the welding and assembly teams to ensure parts meet final assembly requirements
Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and report significant maintenance needs to the supervisor
Adhere to all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Document production numbers and quality checks accurately in the internal tracking system
Requirements:
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Brake Press Operator
High school diploma or equivalent
vocational training in metalwork is a strong asset
Must have reliable transportation to the job site in Brantford
Ability to work the full 10-hour shift from Monday to Thursday
Strong commitment to workplace safety and punctuality
Must be eligible to work in Canada for any employer
The Brake Press Operator must be able to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions provided in English
