Job Description

Our client, a brand and design-focused organization, is seeking a Brand Systems and Design freelancer for a part-time, as-needed bench opportunity. This role will support ongoing design needs on a flexible basis, with engagement scaling up or down depending on workload. The ideal candidate brings a strong, systems-oriented design background along with a modern, tech-forward visual sensibility – someone fluent in Figma who can work confidently with contemporary design elements like sophisticated gradients, light effects, glass/translucency, and 3D-influenced visuals. This is an ongoing freelance assignment. Pay rate range: $90 / hour

Job Responsibility

  • Develop and maintain brand systems and design assets across multiple projects on an as-needed basis
  • Work within Figma to create, organize, and evolve design systems and components
  • Bring a modern, tech-forward aesthetic to design work, incorporating sophisticated use of gradients, light, glass, and dimensional/3D-influenced visual elements
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure design output aligns with brand direction and evolving visual trends
  • Flex availability up or down based on project needs and bench requirements
  • Incorporate AI tools into the design process where relevant and helpful

Requirements

  • Strong proficiency in Figma
  • Demonstrated experience in brand systems and design
  • Portfolio reflecting a modern, tech-forward visual style
  • Skilled use of gradients, light, and glass/translucent effects in design work
  • Comfort working with or incorporating 3D-influenced visual elements (does not need to create 3D assets directly, though a plus)
