Job Description

As a Brand Messaging Strategist at BRIGHTSCOUT, you’ll shape how brands speak and connect with their audiences. From early foundation to final execution, you’ll guide the development of verbal identities that align with strategy, complement visual expression, and drive meaningful engagement. You’ll bring brand narratives to life, serving as a trusted voice in early brand exploration and a key contributor to final execution. Your role will focus on delivering the verbal side of the brand, ensuring it aligns seamlessly with the visual identity and overall strategy. You’ll craft brand storytelling that captures a company’s essence and connects with its audience, weaving together the brand statement, mission, and vision with a clear tone of voice, resonant taglines, tailored key messages, a defined lexicon, and impactful copywriting and sound bites.

Job Responsibility

  • Facilitate workshops to uncover insights that shape a brand’s messaging, tone, and voice

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in copywriting, or content strategy—preferably in an agency or tech environment
  • Proven track record of developing brand messaging systems that scale across channels and touchpoints
  • Exceptional writing skills with versatility across tones, formats, and audiences
  • Strong storytelling skills and the ability to distill complex information into clear, compelling narratives
  • Experience facilitating workshops and presenting to executive-level stakeholders
  • Highly collaborative, self-directed, and comfortable navigating ambiguity
  • Experience aligning messaging with design systems and collaborating cross-functionally with design, product, and marketing teams
