Designing for brands requires a keen eye for detail, a deep understanding of your client’s voice and vision and strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members. As part of the Agency Habitat team, our Brand Designers are expected to concept, develop and execute innovative and effective creative solutions that meet client expectations and drive results.
Job Responsibility:
Concept, develop and execute innovative and effective creative solutions
create designs in print and digital space (branding, logo creation, social media, content creation, OOH, packaging, trade show assets, websites, brochures, booklets)
own execution of projects from start to finish with minimal oversight
own day-to-day design of small- to medium-sized accounts
take lead on design direction of projects
make changes and edits while staying within brand guidelines
occasionally delegate and guide work to other designers
participate in concepting and brainstorming
bring ideas to life through mockups, mood boards, animations
lead photo/video shoots including shot list creation, production team direction, model selection
help style sets and products
help with agency/freelance coordination
adhere to project briefs
manage workload and stick to timelines
remain up to date on current best practices, trends and technology advancements
utilize critical thinking skills
maintain a positive attitude
contribute to open, honest and supportive team environment
work seamlessly with copywriters
connect with brand managers
keep project managers updated
report to creative lead/director
collaborate with creatives from brand, content and media teams
identify and communicate with vendors
participate in client meetings
help mentor associate art directors and interns
be an everyday leader
may occasionally evaluate other team members
Requirements:
3+ years of design experience (agency experience preferred)
portfolio demonstrating professional approach
expertise with latest versions of Adobe Creative Suite
in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office
strong color theory, typography and hierarchy skills
strong understanding of print processes and techniques
ability to build proper print files
strong written and oral communication skills
ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
ability to multitask and prioritize
ability to defend and present work
process-focused and organized with strong attention to detail
positive attitude and problem-solving mindset
self-motivated with strong work ethic
ability to interact with employees at all levels
ability to work seamlessly with copywriters, brand managers, and project managers
occasional overtime and travel required
may work some odd hours
Nice to have:
Keynote proficiency
experience with motion graphics and social media content creation
front-end design experience with light HTML and CSS coding
degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Advertising, Marketing or related discipline
