We’re looking for a Brand Designer to join our team, working remotely from anywhere in Canada. In this role, you’ll lead the conceptualization and execution of compelling brand design across static and motion-based mediums. You’re a highly creative designer with a strong foundation in brand systems, visual storytelling, and executional craft—comfortable translating complex ideas into engaging visuals, layouts, and motion moments. You bring a strong eye for detail, a passion for evolving brands, and the ability to think holistically across touch points.
Job Responsibility:
Evolve and uphold KOHO’s brand identity, ensuring consistency, clarity, and craft across all touchpoints
Design and produce compelling creative for brand campaigns and always-on channels, including social, dotcom, email, display, and motion-led assets
Own the end-to-end design process from ideation and concepting to final execution across static and motion formats
Stay ahead of brand and motion design trends, applying best practices to keep KOHO’s brand fresh, expressive, and relevant
Bring ideas to life through both static design and motion, using animation to enhance storytelling, clarity, and emotional impact
Explore and integrate AI tools, design and motion systems to improve efficiency, experimentation, and creative output
Continuously evaluate new tools, techniques, and workflows to elevate craft and scale creative impact
Partner closely with Product, Marketing, and Engineering to deliver cohesive, high-quality brand experiences across surfaces
Collaborate with writers, marketers, and other designers to translate strategy into visually and motion-driven narratives
Foster a collaborative, feedback-driven design culture that encourages knowledge sharing and alignment
Establish, maintain, and evolve KOHO’s brand standards including guidance for motion
Ensure all outputs balance creativity with brand alignment, protecting KOHO’s identity and values
Oversee the quality and consistency of design across product interfaces, marketing, communications, and motion assets
Requirements:
4+ years of experience in brand design and/or marketing design, ideally within fintech, tech, or consumer brands
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in design
Strong portfolio demonstrating brand systems thinking, visual craft, and motion
Solid understanding of motion principles and systems (timing, easing, transitions)
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, email building tools & AI Tools (such as Flora, Weavy, Midjourney, etc..)
Experience with motion tools such as After Effects, Jitter
