Job Description:

We are Plaid’s Brand Design team — a group of brand designers, motion designers, and production designers who bring the Plaid brand to life across every channel. We partner closely with Product Design in a unified design organization that reports directly to the CEO. The Growth Marketing Design team drives all creative across paid media, email, webinars, landing pages, and campaigns that fuel Plaid’s growth engine. As the Brand Design Manager for Growth Marketing, you will lead and mentor a team of brand and production designers, manage external agencies, and set creative direction across all growth marketing surfaces. You will design and deliver end-to-end campaigns that drive outsized impact and pipeline, while building scalable Figma templates, processes, and creative standards. The role includes overseeing production workflows to ensure efficient, high-quality output, partnering closely with Growth Marketing leads to develop campaigns from concept through launch, and working cross-functionally to track insights that inform future creative. You will also uphold and evolve the Plaid brand across all channels and contribute to the Brand Design leadership team and broader design culture.

Requirements:

  • 7–10+ years of professional design experience
  • 2–3+ years leading or managing brand designers and production designers
  • A portfolio demonstrating strong craft across multi-channel marketing work
  • Experience with performance marketing creative (paid social, display ads, email)
  • Ability to coach designers while directly contributing to the work
  • Experience building systems, templates, and scalable processes
  • Strong communication and cross-functional partnership skills

Nice to have:

  • Experience with animation tools (Jitter), as well as production design tools designed for efficiency (Figma Buzz, Celtra, or Bannerflow)
