Job Description:

Branch Small Business Banker responsible for building, maintaining, and growing relationships with small business banking clients in branches. Works with business customers with annual gross sales between $500k and $2MM, selling products including business deposit accounts, credit products, and coordinating with partners like merchant services and ADP payroll services.

Job Responsibility:

  • Build, maintain, and grow relationships with small business banking clients
  • Sell business deposit accounts and credit products
  • Service business customers in branch environment
  • Conduct business banking functions over the phone
  • Act as primary relationship manager for portfolio of small business customers
  • Build relationships with new customers and engage existing customers
  • Participate in community organizations
  • Create relationships with branch employees
  • Engage customers in all phases of business life cycle
  • Serve as leader in managing risk

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of branch small business banking experience
  • SAFE registration at time of employment
  • Meet Consumer Financial Protection Bureau qualification requirements
  • Compliance with all regulatory requirements including background checks

Nice to have:

  • 1+ year experience managing dedicated book of small business customers
  • Knowledge of book of business
  • Strong business acumen for financial services consultation
  • Extensive knowledge of bank lending programs and credit policies
  • Customer service experience with complex transactions
  • Experience building relationships with customers and partners
  • Proactive sourcing and relationship building skills
  • Knowledge of retail compliance controls and risk management
  • Ability to educate customers on mobile banking
  • Professional interaction skills
  • Mentoring and peer-coaching experience
  • Ability to manage expectations and follow-ups
