Job Description:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Branch Small Business Banker (SAFE) in Consumer and Small Business Banking. Responsible for building, maintaining, and growing relationships with small business banking clients in the branches. Individuals have frequent interactions with clients to understand and meet their needs.

Job Responsibility:

Building, maintaining, and growing relationships with small business banking clients
Selling products to business customers including business deposit accounts, business credit products
Working with partners including merchant services and ADP payroll services
Servicing business customers with their business needs in a branch environment
Carrying out business banking focused functions over the phone
Presenting recommendations for resolving complex situations
Acting as primary relationship manager for portfolio of small business customers
Working proactively to build and grow relationships with new customers
Engaging with existing customers to understand financial needs
Participating in community organizations and building relationships with centers of influence
Creating relationships with branch employees and making introductions to appropriate partners
Engaging with customers in all phases of the business life cycle
Serving as a leader in managing risk and ensuring compliance

Requirements:

2+ years of branch small business banking experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, education
SAFE registration
Compliance with Consumer Financial Protection Bureau qualification requirements
Meeting financial responsibility, character, general financial fitness and criminal background standards

Nice to have:

1+ year of experience managing a dedicated book of small business customers
Knowledge and understanding of book of business
Experience using strong business acumen to provide financial services consultation
Extensive knowledge of bank lending programs, credit policies, and specialty products
Customer service focus with experience handling complex transactions
Experience building and maintaining effective relationships
Proficient with proactively sourcing, acquiring, building relationships
Knowledge of retail compliance controls, risk management, and loss prevention
Ability to educate customers on mobile banking options
Ability to interact with integrity and professionalism
High motivation to meet team objectives
Experience mentoring and peer-coaching others
Ability to manage expectations and conduct follow-ups
