Job Description:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Branch Small Business Banker to build, maintain, and grow relationships with small business banking clients in branches. This role involves frequent client interactions, selling business banking products, serving as primary relationship manager for small business portfolios, and coordinating with banking partners to meet customers' broader financial needs.

Job Responsibility:

  • Build, maintain, and grow relationships with small business banking clients
  • Sell business deposit accounts and credit products
  • Coordinate with merchant services and ADP payroll partners
  • Service business customers in branch environment
  • Conduct business banking functions over the phone
  • Resolve complex customer situations
  • Act as primary relationship manager for small business portfolio
  • Build relationships with new customers through proactive outreach
  • Participate in community organizations
  • Make introductions to appropriate banking partners
  • Engage with customers throughout business life cycle
  • Manage risk and ensure compliance with policies

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of branch small business banking experience
  • SAFE registration required
  • Compliance with S.A.F.E. Mortgage Licensing Act
  • Meet Consumer Financial Protection Bureau qualification requirements
  • Acceptable background investigation results
  • Current credit report assessment
  • Knowledge of bank lending programs and credit policies
  • Experience with business deposit accounts and credit products
  • Customer service experience with complex transactions
  • Ability to build and maintain customer relationships
  • Proficient in customer relationship management tools
  • Knowledge of retail compliance controls and risk management

Nice to have:

  • 1+ year managing dedicated book of small business customers
  • Knowledge and understanding of book of business
  • Strong business acumen for financial services consultation
  • Extensive knowledge of specialty banking products
  • Experience building relationships with customers and internal partners
  • Proactive sourcing and customer acquisition skills
  • Ability to educate customers on mobile banking technology
  • High motivation with team objective focus
