The Branch Operations Manager (BOM) plays a pivotal role in ensuring that lawn treatment services are delivered on a timely, effective and efficient basis to the customers serviced by their respective branch. The BOM’s core role is to manage the Lawn Operative’s day to day activities and to enthuse the team with a determination to provide the best service as representatives of the brand.
Job Responsibility:
Manage, develop, motivate and support a team of Lawn Operatives
Manage the day to day operations of the branch
Ensure compliance by the Lawn Operatives with GreenThumb’s Method, Service Level Agreement, Employee Handbook, Lawn Operative Minimum Expectations and Health and Safety procedures
Personally complete crew runs as necessary
Ensure day to day scheduling/crew runs are completed
Actively promote, coach and mentor team members on best practice
Liaise with Head Office, GTA and HR on recruitment, interviewing and training
Ensure scheduled crew runs are appropriate and communicated
Support Lawn Operative’s achievement of daily and weekly treatment values
Manage and drive continuous improvement of product knowledge
Be an ambassador for the GreenThumb brand
Ensure vehicles, equipment and machinery are clean and maintained
Ensure correct PPE is worn
Ensure professional image
Improve customer service rating and retention
Positively resolve customer queries
Visit customers to provide estimates and quotes
Hold regular team meetings
Identify training needs
Collect and reconcile payments
Place orders for stock
Monitor and produce reports for Regional Manager
Ensure crew runs reconciled daily
Operate within budget
Record staff attendance
Carry out other relevant duties
Requirements:
Good written and communication skills
The ability to manage and motivate employees, encouraging engagement and new ideas
Ability to maintain and forge good working relationships with all customers and stakeholders
Flexibility to travel, work outside standard hours if required and to work occasional weekends if necessary
Full, UK driving licence
