Job Description:

HSBC Amanah is seeking a Branch Manager Amanah in Bandar Sunway, Malaysia, to lead and manage a branch team. Responsibilities include achieving business objectives, ensuring branch operations run according to the Target Operating Model (TOM), managing staff performance, and driving sales initiatives. The role requires strong leadership, analytical skills, and retail banking experience. Candidates must possess the ability to inspire and influence, with relevant professional qualifications preferred.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead the team to deliver the Branch IWPB Performance measures and plan
  • manage and coach the team to drive performance to grow sales, productivity, service quality and staff engagement
  • lead the Branch in line with processes and activities to achieve consistency of management
  • monitor and act on daily sales activity and internal information tools
  • ensure customer needs are identified and matched appropriately
  • personally manage the sales floor regularly
  • train, maintain, and develop the team according to resource plans
  • use performance management tools and conduct performance reviews
  • hold regular meetings with team members
  • work as part of an integrated team beyond branch responsibilities
  • ensure sales and operations comply with operational guidelines
  • manage operational risk using relevant Management Information (MI)
  • ensure branch lending is undertaken in line with Credit Policy
  • undertake sales, operational, and credit sampling in the branch.

Requirements:

  • Possess strong team leadership and management
  • problem solving skills
  • analytical skills
  • planning and organising skills
  • knowledgeable and experience in retail sales
  • proven ability in relationship management in the retail sector
  • preferably with Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers (ACIB) or equivalent professional qualification
  • preferably with excellent interpersonal skills, with a particular emphasis upon inspiring, influencing and negotiating
  • coaching sales techniques, best practice and sales management on a team and one to one basis
  • attain appropriate professional and regulatory qualifications as required by market
  • attain any internal standards as required by Country.
