Job Description:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Branch Network Management Trainee (SAFE) for National Branch Network as part of the Consumer Banking and Lending division. This is an interim non-exempt position. Successful completion and certification of the Branch Manager Readiness program is a pre-requisite to transition into a manager role, based on branch vacancy. Employees who are currently in an Associate Branch Manager (ABM) or Branch Manager (BM) role with Wells Fargo at the time of hire will not participate in the Branch Manager Readiness program.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead, manage and develop a diverse team of direct and indirect reports, creating a culture that fosters engagement and generates commitment and accountability to business outcomes
  • Lead a highly defined customer engagement process, coaching to specific behaviors that lead to an enhanced customer experience and drive growth in the business
  • Drive accountability for operational excellence
  • Execute policies and procedures in alignment with applicable regulations, as well as audit and escalation procedures
  • Manage the allocation of people and financial resources for the branch
  • Coach, develop and build a high performing team to execute on business strategies, achieve results, and drive growth of the business
  • Coach bankers to engage customers to understand their needs and work proactively to build relationships and help customers succeed financially
  • Resolve low to moderately complex issues regarding the customer and employee experience, risk, and growth of the team and the business to meet Branch Network business objectives
  • Identify opportunities for making banking easier for customers through education and demonstration of available digital options to support adoption and customer convenience
  • Lead the branch while engaging stakeholders, peers, and internal partners in collaborating and building strong partnerships to deliver a customer-centric experience
  • Mentor and guide talent development of direct reports and assist in hiring talent
  • This SAFE position has customer contact and job duties which may include the offering/negotiating of terms and/or taking an application for a dwelling secured transaction

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of banking, financial services, or Branch Network experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 2+ years of leadership experience
  • Ability to work a schedule that may include most Saturdays
  • Ability to travel in assigned geography up to 50% of the time during the first 6 months, depending on location
  • This position requires SAFE registration at the time of employment
  • This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship
