An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Bettys Marketing Team, and we are looking for a Branch & Cookery School Marketing Manager (Fixed term contract) to join us from April 2026 - March 2027 covering a period of maternity leave, at our offices in the Bettys Bakery, Harrogate. As the Branch & Cookery School Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for driving customer numbers to each branch and the Cookery School through effective marketing, creating compelling reasons to visit. This role involves building and executing annual marketing plans that support an outstanding customer experience, driving traffic, sales, and profitable growth both in the short and long term. You will be the main touchpoint for all marketing activations related to the branches and Cookery School.

Job Responsibility:

  • Maintain existing relationship with Branch Managers, Branch Retail Managers, Branch FOH Managers with regular visits to all branches including Cookery School - with at least one to two branch visits every week
  • Develop and execute marketing activities planned for 2026 and implement new ideas consulting with relevant stakeholders and wider marketing team
  • Develop a branch and cookery school marketing plan for 2027 thinking about driving new customers to Bettys and building on what we have achieved in 2025 and 2026 which incorporates new launches, pop ups, events, any renovations etc
  • Lead the Marketing, Product and Consumer churn for ITP (integrated tactical planning) ensuring the plan is up to date, you have full team involvement and the plan fully supports new customer delivery and growth
  • Investigate and develop a new revenue stream for Bettys branches looking at private functions especially in our York and Harrogate sites with private spaces that could be hired out to corporate companies or for private parties with the aim to start taking bookings from September 2026

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of retail marketing experience
  • Planning and organisation skills
  • Proven track record of developing ideas driving customer number growth
  • Experience of building external marketing/community relationships
  • Highly effective stakeholder management
  • Engages well and brings people on the journey
  • Driving and own car as regular travel to our branches is a must
