Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Compliance & Operations Supervisor to join our Dinnington team. This is an exciting opportunity to take on a varied role at the heart of our branch operations, with exposure across multiple areas of the business. You will play a key role in ensuring compliance across customer processes, internal administration, legislation, health & safety, transport, waste management, and service delivery standards. Job Responsibility

  • Lead and support a small team, including a Warehouse & Inventory Operative and Team Administrator, providing coaching, training and performance reviews
  • Maintain a safe working environment, ensuring full compliance with H&S procedures and leading the annual FMIR audit
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 standards and stay up to date with legislation alongside the HSEQ team
  • Oversee environmental compliance, including adherence to the site Environmental Permit, waste volumes and correct waste segregation and packaging
  • Manage inventory processes, including stock control, discrepancy investigations and bi-annual stock takes
  • Oversee branch warehouse operations and ensure stock is correctly stored and labelled
  • Manage branch fleet compliance, including maintenance, servicing, MOTs, inspections, 'O' licence requirements and tachograph downloads
  • Ensure employees complete required training and support ongoing development
  • Handle customer compliance queries and ensure branch facilities and equipment are maintained and inspected in line with schedules
  • Ensure that all compliance-based queries from customers are dealt with in a timely and efficient manner
  • Responsible for ensuring that the branch facilities operate efficiently and that any snags/issues are reported and actioned in a timely manner
  • Ensure that all equipment is maintained in good working order and that all inspections are conducted by the appropriate contractor in adherence to the agreed schedule

  • IOSH, NEBOSH or WAMITAB qualifications would be advantageous but is not essential
