Our client offers a robust 44-hour work week with a schedule designed for a great work-life balance: Monday to Thursday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and a short shift on Friday from 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Whether you are an intermediate or expert Brake and Shear Operator, your pay rate will directly reflect your experience and the quality of your output, ranging from $20.00 to $30.00 per hour.
Job Responsibility:
Operate CNC or manual press brake and shear machines for metal and aluminum fabrication
Perform precision cuts and bends on various gauges of sheet metal and aluminum
Inspect finished workpieces for dimensions and quality using micrometers, calipers, and squares
Adjust machine settings and tool offsets to maintain tolerances and ensure high-quality output
Coordinate with the manufacturing & logistics team to meet daily production targets and deadlines
Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all health and safety protocols
Document production activities and report any equipment malfunctions or material defects immediately
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Brake and Shear Operator or in a similar role within manufacturing & logistics
Demonstrated expertise in metal and aluminum fabrication techniques
Ability to commit to a 44-hour work week in Kitchener, Ontario
Strong safety consciousness and adherence to PPE requirements
Physical ability to lift and maneuver metal sheets as required by the role
High school diploma or equivalent
vocational training in metal fabrication is an asset
Reliability and a strong work ethic are essential for this high-energy position
