Job Responsibility:

  • Setup & Operation: Setting up and operating brake press machinery to bend, form, and shape metal components according to specifications
  • Blueprint Reading: Interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine appropriate machine settings and tooling
  • Quality Control: Inspecting finished parts using precision measuring tools (calipers, protractors, gauges) to ensure they meet strict quality standards
  • Maintenance: Performing basic troubleshooting and routine maintenance on the machine to ensure optimal performance
  • Safety: Adhering to all health and safety guidelines and keeping the work area clean and organized

Requirements:

  • Reliability: Strong attendance record and reliable transportation to Stratford, Ontario
  • Experience: Previous experience operating a Brake Press is required
  • Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings confidently
  • Measurement Knowledge: Proficiency in using micrometers, calipers, and standard gauges
  • Physical Ability: Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods
