Finance Systems / SAP BPC Analyst – Contract (12 Months) BAE Systems Portsmouth / Frimley (Hybrid – very flexible) £43 PAYE / £57.97 Umbrella (Inside IR35) We are supporting BAE Systems in the search for a Finance Systems Analyst with strong SAP BPC experience to join on a 12-month contract. This is a hands-on systems role, focused on maintaining and supporting a critical financial reporting platform used across the business. The Role You will take ownership of the SAP BPC (Business Planning & Consolidation) system, ensuring it operates effectively and supporting finance users across the business. This is a BAU support-focused role, particularly around period-end activity, with a strong emphasis on troubleshooting and system reliability.

Job Responsibility

  • Maintain and support the SAP BPC system (Standard / Embedded)
  • Act as first point of contact for user queries and issue resolution
  • Monitor and manage system performance, including period-end processing cycles
  • Troubleshoot system issues and ensure quick resolution
  • Support finance teams during month-end and reporting cycles
  • Manage and respond to queries through a shared inbox environment
  • Support testing and validation activities where required
  • Contribute to ongoing system improvements and process optimisation
  • Produce and maintain system documentation and training materials

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with SAP BPC (Business Planning & Consolidation)
  • Experience supporting or maintaining finance systems / reporting platforms
  • Strong troubleshooting and issue resolution skills
  • Ability to work in a support-driven, BAU environment
  • Broader SAP / EPM experience (SAP, Hyperion, Anaplan, etc.)
  • Experience with UAT, system upgrades, or implementations
  • Understanding of financial reporting / month-end processes
  • Experience working in a shared service or support function
  • Due to project requirements, applicants must be Sole UK Nationals
  • Ability to attend site (Frimley or Portsmouth) occasionally if required

  • Broader SAP / EPM experience (SAP, Hyperion, Anaplan, etc.)
