Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required
Minimum 1-year prior experience using the locating equipment to find any underground utilities
Must have experience operating heavy equipment near active utilities
Must have CATV / Spectrum experience
Preferred are Mini X / Excavator skills and training
Concrete finishing and asphalt restoration experience is a plus
Bucket truck training and certs are a plus
Must be familiar with locate systems
Ability to operate an asphalt roller, skid steer, backhoe, mini excavator, vacuum truck, bore machine, and other heavy equipment
Must have a valid driver's license

Job Responsibility

Operate heavy equipment in compliance with the company's operating safety policies and procedures
Load and unload equipment from vehicles and trailers
Responsible for regular maintenance and care of the assigned heavy equipment, producing any documentation needed for each job, and daily communication with managers is a must
Loads and hauls the machine
Drives, sets up, and breaks down safely and efficiently
Operates heavy equipment near active utilities
Have knowledge of shoring systems and how to use them
Rigging and setting of structures
Along with operating, must be willing to assist in other activities, such as but not limited to Placement of conduit in open trenches
