We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our client in Columbus, Ohio. This contract to permanent position offers the opportunity to contribute to essential financial operations while ensuring accuracy and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have experience with bookkeeping processes and QuickBooks, demonstrating a commitment to maintaining organized and accurate records.
Job Responsibility:
Record payments accurately into trust accounts and maintain up-to-date financial records
Process transfers from trust accounts to business accounts in compliance with company procedures
Monitor and manage inventory levels, placing orders for office supplies as needed
Utilize QuickBooks Desktop for accounting tasks, with potential involvement in transitioning to QuickBooks Online
Ensure all accounts receivable processes are handled efficiently and correctly
Collaborate with team members to resolve discrepancies and ensure financial documentation is complete
Uphold confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive financial information
Requirements:
Proven experience in bookkeeping or a related financial role
Proficiency in using QuickBooks Desktop
familiarity with QuickBooks Online is a plus
Understanding of accounts receivable processes and trust account management
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members
High level of integrity and professionalism in handling financial data
Nice to have:
familiarity with QuickBooks Online is a plus
