Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join one of our clients on a contract to hire basis. This role is essential to ensuring accurate financial records and efficient day-to-day accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bookkeeping and accounting practices, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Job Responsibility:

Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments and collections
Record journal entries and maintain the general ledger to ensure compliance with accounting standards
Perform bank reconciliations to verify and balance financial statements
Process billing transactions and coordinate the printing and distribution of checks
Oversee cash applications and manage the balancing of receipts
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Collaborate with team members to support financial reporting and analysis tasks
Ensure compliance with US GAAP standards in all financial activities

Requirements:

Proven experience in bookkeeping and accounting functions
Proficiency in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliation processes
Familiarity with Yardi software and other accounting tools
Solid understanding of journal entries and general ledger maintenance
Knowledge of US GAAP standards and their application in financial processes
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Degree in Accounting or a related field preferred
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
