Job Description:

We are looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. In this long-term contract position, you will play a crucial role in managing financial records and ensuring accurate categorization of expenses related to residential real estate rentals. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled individual with expertise in bookkeeping and financial management systems.

Job Responsibility:

Accurately record and categorize financial transactions for residential real estate rental properties
Reconcile bank statements to ensure accuracy and consistency with the general ledger
Utilize QuickBooks Online to maintain and update financial records efficiently
Prepare financial reports and summaries to support management decision-making
Monitor accounts payable and receivable to ensure timely payments and collections
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal financial policies
Assist with year-end financial reporting and audits as required
Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records promptly
Collaborate with team members to improve financial processes and workflows

Requirements:

Proven experience in bookkeeping, preferably in the real estate or property management industry
Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and other accounting software
Strong understanding of bank reconciliations and general ledger maintenance
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to analyze financial data and produce accurate reports
Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and external parties
Knowledge of accounting principles and best practices
Ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality
