Our client in San Diego, CA is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support daily accounting operations and help maintain accurate financial records. This role is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills, hands-on bookkeeping experience, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibility:
Maintain accurate financial records and ensure all transactions are properly recorded
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts
Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end close activities
Manage invoicing, billing, and collections support
Assist with payroll processing and related recordkeeping
Generate financial reports and support internal reporting needs
Review and maintain expense records and supporting documentation
Communicate with vendors, clients, and internal departments to resolve discrepancies
Support audits and assist with ad hoc accounting projects as needed
Requirements:
2+ years of bookkeeping or general accounting experience
Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Solid understanding of debits, credits, and general ledger activity
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred
Nice to have:
Experience with QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar accounting systems
Familiarity with payroll processing and bank reconciliations
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to meet deadlines
