Job Description

A growing wholesale/distribution company in Ontario is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join its team. This onsite role will report directly to the Owner and will play a key part in supporting day-to-day financial operations. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of bookkeeping experience, strong QuickBooks proficiency, and the ability to communicate fluently in both English and Mandarin. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced business environment, takes pride in accuracy, and can manage core accounting tasks independently.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage daily financial transactions and ensure accurate entry of accounting data
  • Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing, payment tracking, and customer/vendor account maintenance
  • Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate records of cash activity
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records in QuickBooks
  • Assist with routine bookkeeping functions to support the company’s day-to-day accounting needs
  • Monitor transactions for accuracy and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Support the Owner with financial information and reporting as needed
  • Help ensure accounting records are complete, accurate, and audit-ready

Requirements

  • 2+ years of bookkeeping experience required
  • Fluency in English and Mandarin required
  • Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks required
  • Experience managing daily financial transactions, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations required
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
  • Comfortable working onsite in Ontario

Nice to have

  • Experience in wholesale, distribution, or product-based businesses preferred
  • Comfortable supporting an owner directly in a small or growing company environment
