We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join a team in Nashville, Tennessee in a Contract to Permanent position. This role will support day-to-day financial operations by maintaining accurate records, managing payables and receivables, and ensuring account balances are properly reconciled. The ideal candidate brings strong experience with QuickBooks and can work confidently across core bookkeeping functions in a fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibility
Record and maintain financial transactions with a high level of accuracy across daily bookkeeping activities
Process vendor invoices, prepare payments, and keep accounts payable records organized and up to date
Monitor incoming payments, post customer receipts, and follow up on outstanding balances within accounts receivable
Reconcile bank statements and internal financial records to identify and resolve discrepancies promptly
Use QuickBooks to manage entries, maintain account details, and produce reliable financial information
Assist with routine reporting and support the preparation of documentation needed for accounting review
Organize financial files and ensure supporting records are complete, accessible, and audit-ready when needed
Requirements
Hands-on experience in bookkeeping, including regular management of financial records and transactions
Proficiency with QuickBooks in an accounting or finance setting
Practical knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
Experience completing bank reconciliations accurately and consistently
Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify errors and maintain precise records
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a structured work environment
