We are a growing financial services firm committed to accuracy, integrity and exceptional client service. As we continue to expand, we are looking for a detail‑driven Bookkeeper who will help keep our financial operations running smoothly and ensure our records remain accurate, compliant and audit‑ready. As our part-time Bookkeeper, you will maintain daily and monthly financial operations using QuickBooks Online, handle journal entries, support monthly closes, and ensure that our books align closely with tax filings. You will play a key role in ensuring our financial data is clean, accurate and ready for internal use and external reporting. Job Responsibility:
Record and categorize financial transactions in QuickBooks Online
Maintain accurate general ledger entries and proper coding for financial services revenue and expenses
Track advisory fees, consulting revenue and client-related transactions as needed
Prepare and post adjusting journal entries (accruals, reclasses, payroll, etc.)
Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards and other balance sheet accounts
Review monthly financial statements for errors, inconsistencies or unusual activity
Complete timely and accurate monthly closes
Support preparation of schedules and documentation for annual tax filings
Match internal books to the company’s tax returns, identifying discrepancies
Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, and tax preparers as needed
Maintain organized, audit-ready digital financial records
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls
Protect confidential and sensitive financial information
Suggest process improvements to strengthen accuracy and efficiency
Requirements:
Proven bookkeeping experience—financial services or professional services experience preferred
Strong proficiency with QuickBooks Online (preferred)
Solid understanding of general ledger accounting and basic GAAP principles
Experience with journal entries and monthly close processes
High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and professional discretion
Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
Nice to have:
Experience working with CPAs or matching books to tax returns
Familiarity with advisory fees, client billing or financial services terminology
Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills
