Robert Half is seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to join our client in Tacoma on a contract basis. In this role, you will support daily accounting operations and ensure financial data accuracy for a dynamic, growing business.
Job Responsibility:
Maintain accurate records of financial transactions (AP, AR, general ledger entries)
Process invoices, payments, and bank deposits
Reconcile bank and credit card statements
Prepare month-end and year-end financial reports
Assist with payroll processing and related recordkeeping
Support audit preparation and respond to internal or external inquiries
Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting best practices
Requirements:
2+ years of bookkeeping experience, ideally in a professional office environment
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel)
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
