The Bookkeeper will manage day-to-day accounting operations for a nonprofit organization, ensuring accurate financial records, strong cash flow visibility, and timely reporting to support organizational budgeting and compliance.
Job Responsibility:
Maintain full-cycle bookkeeping using QuickBooks Online
Manage accounts receivable, donations, and reimbursements
Run bi-weekly/monthly payroll and ensure payroll taxes are processed accurately
Track and reconcile monthly expenses, bank accounts, and credit cards
Monitor cash flow and prepare cash position summaries
Assist with budget preparation, tracking, and variance analysis
Support audits and grant reporting by maintaining organized financial documentation
Prepare routine financial reports for leadership (monthly expense reports, budget vs. actuals)
Requirements:
2+ years of bookkeeping experience (nonprofit experience preferred)
Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online
Knowledge of nonprofit accounting
Comfortable handling payroll, reporting, and audit support
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently
Nice to have:
