Job Description

The Bookkeeper will manage day-to-day accounting operations for a nonprofit organization, ensuring accurate financial records, strong cash flow visibility, and timely reporting to support organizational budgeting and compliance.

Job Responsibility

  • Maintain full-cycle bookkeeping using QuickBooks Online
  • Manage accounts receivable, donations, and reimbursements
  • Run bi-weekly/monthly payroll and ensure payroll taxes are processed accurately
  • Track and reconcile monthly expenses, bank accounts, and credit cards
  • Monitor cash flow and prepare cash position summaries
  • Assist with budget preparation, tracking, and variance analysis
  • Support audits and grant reporting by maintaining organized financial documentation
  • Prepare routine financial reports for leadership (monthly expense reports, budget vs. actuals)

Requirements

  • 2+ years of bookkeeping experience (nonprofit experience preferred)
  • Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online
  • Knowledge of nonprofit accounting
  • Comfortable handling payroll, reporting, and audit support
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently
