We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team in Santa Barbara, California. In this long-term contract position, you will play a key role in managing financial records, maintaining accuracy in transactions, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Job Responsibility:
Maintain accurate financial records, including tracking income, expenses, and other transactions
Utilize QuickBooks software to manage and organize accounting data efficiently
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections
Conduct regular bank reconciliations to verify account balances and resolve discrepancies
Prepare financial reports and summaries for management review
Monitor and manage budgets to ensure alignment with financial goals
Ensure compliance with accounting regulations and standards
Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and information
Collaborate with team members to optimize accounting processes and workflows
Requirements:
Proven experience in bookkeeping or a related accounting role
Proficiency in using QuickBooks for financial management
Strong knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
Experience with bank reconciliations and resolving discrepancies
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in financial recordkeeping
Ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders
