Job Description:

Contract-to-Permanent Bookkeeper position offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to the financial accuracy and operational efficiency of a specialized organization in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Job Responsibility:

Maintain accurate financial records by entering daily transactions into QuickBooks Online and ensuring alignment with the established chart of accounts
Perform regular reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial accounts to ensure accurate and timely reporting
Track and record incoming payments, primarily from insurance sources, verifying deposits and resolving discrepancies as they arise
Monitor company credit card transactions, categorizing expenses correctly and maintaining proper documentation
Prepare reconciled financial statements, schedules, and supporting documents to assist with audits and reporting requirements
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to financial operations
Collaborate with team members to address discrepancies and improve financial processes
Maintain organized and accessible records for future reference and auditing purposes

Requirements:

Proven experience in bookkeeping with a strong understanding of accounting principles
Expertise in managing accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes
Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and familiarity with its features and functionalities
Demonstrated ability to perform bank reconciliations with attention to detail
Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records
Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple financial tasks effectively
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
High level of integrity and professionalism when handling sensitive financial information
