Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day financial operations and maintain accurate financial records. The ideal candidate will be highly detail-oriented, organized, and possess strong problem-solving skills. You will play a critical role in ensuring the financial health of the organization, supporting both leadership and operational teams with vital insights and reports.

Job Responsibility:

  • Accurately record all financial transactions using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, etc.) and keep financial records up to date
  • Manage the invoicing process, track outstanding payments, verify incoming payments, and process vendor bills and payments
  • Perform monthly reconciliations for all accounts, including bank, credit card, and online payment platforms
  • Assist with payroll processing by ensuring employee hours and deductions are accurately recorded
  • Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports, and present insights to management as needed
  • Monitor company expenses and oversee proper classification to ensure budget adherence and efficient spending
  • Collaborate with external tax professionals by providing necessary documentation and ensuring accurate tax filings
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and company policies regarding financial reporting and procedures
  • Recommend and implement improvements for financial processes and accounting systems to maximize efficiency
  • Provide clear and timely updates about the financial health of the company, including flagging concerns or anomalies

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, Accountant, or in a similar financial role (3+ years preferred)
  • Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required)
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Xero) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with a meticulous approach to financial data
  • Solid understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to work collaboratively with teams and external vendors
  • Ability to troubleshoot discrepancies and resolve financial inconsistencies efficiently
  • Ability to prioritize workloads and meet strict deadlines
  • Maintain complete confidentiality regarding all financial matters
