We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Gardena, California. This role is ideal for someone who excels in managing financial records, reconciling accounts, and ensuring accuracy in daily accounting operations. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining financial stability and supporting business operations.
Job Responsibility:
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate transaction entries
Perform bank account and credit card reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records
Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and deadlines
Conduct month-end close procedures, including preparing financial reports and journal entries
Utilize QuickBooks to organize and maintain financial data effectively
Handle basic bookkeeping tasks, such as tracking expenses and income
Input and review data entries to ensure accuracy in all accounting records
Assist with preparing and maintaining financial documentation for audits and reporting purposes
Monitor and resolve discrepancies in financial accounts
Provide support for budgeting and forecasting activities as needed
Requirements:
Proven experience in bookkeeping and accounting practices
Proficiency in QuickBooks and other financial software
Strong knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
Ability to perform bank and credit card reconciliations accurately
Familiarity with payroll administration and related regulations
Experience with month-end close procedures and financial reporting
Excellent data entry skills with high attention to detail
Strong organizational and time management abilities
