We are looking for a meticulous and organized Bookkeeper to join our team on a contract basis. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing payroll, and performing essential bookkeeping tasks using QuickBooks and other accounting tools. This position is based in Los Angeles, California, and offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the financial health and efficiency of our organization.
Job Responsibility:
Process payroll for employees using Paychex, ensuring accuracy and timely submissions
Maintain detailed financial records using QuickBooks and other accounting systems
Conduct regular balance sheet reconciliations and address discrepancies promptly
Manage tenant charges and billbacks, including preparation of reconciliation statements
Record daily financial transactions and ensure accounts payable and receivable are accurately processed
Generate financial reports and support month-end and year-end closing activities
Assist in preparing budgets and financial forecasts
Address tenant inquiries related to billing and resolve issues efficiently
Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and guidelines
Requirements:
Proven experience in bookkeeping and financial record management
Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software
Strong understanding of payroll processing, including Paychex
Ability to perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
Knowledge of accounts payable and receivable processes
Familiarity with month-end and year-end closing procedures
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
Excellent attention to detail and organizational capabilities
