We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to our team in Deerfield Beach, Florida. This role is ideal for someone with property management experience who can review financial records carefully, identify posting errors, and help organize the general ledger with accuracy. The position offers a Monday through Friday schedule and would suit someone who communicates well, works collaboratively, and is comfortable learning existing processes quickly.
Job Responsibility
Examine historical ledger entries to verify whether transactions were posted to the appropriate operating or reserve accounts
Investigate coding inconsistencies within financial records and recommend accurate classifications for each entry reviewed
Help refine the general ledger structure by identifying missing account categories and supporting improved organization
Process day-to-day bookkeeping activities, including accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks as needed
Complete bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies to maintain reliable financial reporting
Maintain accurate documentation of findings, corrections, and account decisions throughout the project
Work with internal team members to understand account usage and apply property management accounting knowledge effectively
Requirements
Previous bookkeeping experience with strong knowledge of general ledger review and account coding
Background in property management accounting is required
Hands-on experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations
Ability to analyze financial transactions and determine proper account classification with a high degree of accuracy
Comfortable learning new systems and following established processes with limited ramp-up time
Strong attention to detail and a dependable, detail-oriented approach to daily work
