We are looking for a skilled PART TIME Bookkeeper to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Glendale, California. This position involves managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. The role is fully onsite and offers the opportunity to grow professionally within a dynamic environment. This position is 20 hours/per week.
Job Responsibility:
Maintain accurate bookkeeping records using QuickBooks Online, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded properly
Prepare and file tax returns in compliance with regulations
Perform bank reconciliations and download bank transactions to ensure financial accuracy
Create and post journal entries for clients, including adjustments related to loans
Review financial reports and documents to ensure accuracy and completeness
Assist in managing office supplies and coordinating coffee needs
Organize and maintain filing systems to ensure all documents are easily accessible
Provide bookkeeping support for various clients, including restaurants, rental properties, small businesses, and retail stores
Communicate effectively with clients, some of whom may speak Armenian, to address financial inquiries
Utilize basic Excel functions to support financial tasks, ensuring data accuracy
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in a client-facing role
Proficiency in QuickBooks Online for managing financial records
Knowledge of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes
Experience with bank reconciliations and journal entries
Ability to file tax returns accurately and efficiently
Basic proficiency in Excel, with the ability to use standard functions
Strong organizational skills to maintain filing systems and manage multiple clients
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to work with clients who speak Armenian
