We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team in Woodbury, New York. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in QuickBooks and a proven track record of managing financial records with accuracy and efficiency. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of accounts and financial processes.
Job Responsibility:
Maintain accurate financial records, including the preparation and upkeep of ledgers, journals, and other documentation
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments
Perform bank reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial data and resolve discrepancies
Utilize QuickBooks to record transactions and generate financial reports as needed
Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Monitor and track company expenses, ensuring compliance with established budgets
Collaborate with other departments to address financial inquiries and provide necessary documentation
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies related to bookkeeping
Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement effective solutions
Support audits by providing accurate and organized documentation
Requirements:
A minimum of 5 years of bookkeeping experience with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail
Proficiency in QuickBooks, with the ability to create reports and manage transactions
Strong knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
Demonstrated experience performing bank reconciliations accurately and efficiently
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams
