We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina. This is a long-term contract position that requires strong expertise in financial record-keeping and proficiency in QuickBooks. The ideal candidate will work on-site Monday through Friday, ensuring the accuracy and organization of financial data.
Job Responsibility:
Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and accounts receivable
Utilize QuickBooks to manage and organize financial transactions effectively
Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of account balances
Prepare financial reports and summaries for management review
Monitor and track expenses to ensure compliance with company budgets
Address and resolve discrepancies in financial data promptly
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and company policies
Respond to inquiries regarding financial matters from internal and external stakeholders
Requirements:
Proven experience in bookkeeping, with a strong understanding of financial processes
Proficiency in using QuickBooks software for financial management
Knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable operations
Ability to perform accurate bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Excellent organizational and time management abilities
Familiarity with financial regulations and compliance standards
Effective communication skills for interacting with team members and stakeholders
Understanding of 1099s
