We are looking for a skilled Bookkeeper to join our team on a contract basis. This position involves managing financial records and ensuring accurate reconciliation of accounts for multiple properties. The role offers flexibility with remote work and requires proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop.
Job Responsibility:
Reconcile bank accounts for 12 distinct properties to ensure financial accuracy
Prepare comprehensive year-end financial statements and reports
Record accounts receivable data for approximately 400 tenants monthly, using QuickBooks Desktop
Process accounts payable for utilities, mortgages, and invoices across all properties
Allocate expenses and invoices accurately to the appropriate property
Maintain clear and organized financial records to support property management
Collaborate with property managers to ensure timely collection and input of payments
Address discrepancies and resolve financial issues promptly
Provide support in tracking and categorizing property-related expenses
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and practices
Requirements:
Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting, preferably in property management
Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop for financial tasks and reporting
Strong understanding of accounts payable and receivable processes
Ability to manage financial data for multiple entities simultaneously
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Effective communication skills to work remotely with clients and property managers
Competence in preparing year-end financial statements
Nice to have:
Familiarity with property-related accounting practices is a plus
