Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join a team, located in Etobicoke.

Job Responsibility:

Maintain accurate financial records by recording all financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments
Reconcile bank statements and accounts payable/receivable on a regular basis to ensure accuracy and completeness
Prepare and process invoices, receipts, payments, and other financial documents
Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure timely payments and collections
Assist with payroll processing, including calculating hours, preparing pay stubs, and remitting payroll taxes
Prepare financial reports, such as income statements and balance sheets, on a regular basis for management review
Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures, including journal entries and reconciliations
Maintain confidentiality of financial information and comply with all relevant accounting regulations and procedures
Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external vendors to resolve any discrepancies or issues
Assist with ad-hoc financial projects and tasks as assigned by management

Requirements:

5 years of accounting experience across all aspects of the function including Canadian payroll
A bachelor’s degree in either business administration or accounting is preferred
Experience working with Sage or similar ERP systems is a requirement
Experience working within a similar industry is highly preferred
Excellent communication skills is required

Nice to have:

Experience with full-cycle accounts payable
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, Vlookup, Formulas, etc.)
Experience working with MS Dynamics Business Central
