Job Description:

We are looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented PART TIME Bookkeeper to join our team in Schoolcraft, Michigan. This is a Contract-to-permanent opportunity, offering the chance to contribute your expertise in financial management within the dynamic entertainment and recreation industry. The ideal candidate will have experience in bookkeeping, payroll processing, and financial reconciliation, with a strong ability to analyze data and ensure accuracy in all financial transactions.

Job Responsibility:

Manage financial transactions and categorize them accurately using QuickBooks Online
Process payroll efficiently through Paychex, ensuring compliance with all regulations
Reconcile bank accounts and perform account reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy
Oversee accounts receivable tasks, including invoicing and payment tracking
Conduct detailed reviews of financial data and provide insights for decision-making
Assist with month-end close activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
Investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial records, conducting research as needed
Perform data entry with precision to maintain up-to-date financial records
Support ad hoc accounting tasks and projects as assigned

Requirements:

At least 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or a related accounting role
Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and familiarity with Paychex for payroll processing
Strong understanding of financial reconciliation, including bank and account reconciliations
Skilled in accounts receivable management and month-end close processes
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
Exceptional attention to detail and critical thinking abilities
Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
Experience with data entry and maintaining accurate financial records
