Job Description:

A busy company in the West Caldwell area is seeking a Bookkeeper to join their team. This Bookkeeper will get the chance to join a growing organization that offers great work/life balance as well as a flexible working schedule.

Job Responsibility:

Prepare and process billing and invoicing for multiple projects
Assist with accounts payable tasks including matching, batching, and coding invoices
Manage accounts receivable processes including tracking payments and resolving discrepancies
Support the accounting manager by providing backup for various financial tasks
Perform account reconciliations and ensure financial records are up-to-date
Utilize Microsoft Excel and accounting software to manage financial data
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth month-end close processes
Maintain organized records of financial transactions
Provide payroll support as needed
Contribute to improvement of financial systems and processes

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field is preferred
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Previous experience in construction or real estate accounting is a plus
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Demonstrated knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
Ability to perform bank reconciliations and manage month-end close procedures
Experience with bookkeeping and payroll support
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Local to the West Caldwell area
